Month 1 Results

Well, I made it to the end of my first month on my journey from fat to fit! It’s been an exciting month and I’d like to share what’s happened over the last four weeks.

 

I started the month at 241.2 lbs.  That’s the most I’ve weighed since 2009, when ironically, my cholesterol was the lowest it’s been in years, but more on that in a moment.

 

For exercise, I did Matt & Laura’s 30 Day Challenge.  It was a series of four workout videos a week for all four weeks in January.  I hit all four workouts the first week, but honestly only got three each week for the remaining 3 weeks.  I knew my work schedule would be a hurdle for me in getting all the workouts completed, but I could only do what I could do.   Bottom line:  I got stronger and more flexible!

 

For my eating, I will give myself an 8 out of 10!  We were all vegetarian the whole month and my narrowing waistline is the proof.  For the end of the four week period, I lost a total of 8.2 lbs!  My goal is to lose 1 – 2 lbs per week, so I’m right on track.  And I had to cinch my belt up to the next notch!!

 

I had my yearly physical last week and got the good news that my cholesterol is 203!  That’s still a little high, but it’s trending downwards, so I’m grateful for that.  All my other blood work, blood pressure, etc., came back as ideal for my age.  Couldn’t be happier with that!  For my end of 4 weeks photos, click here.
